Dan Richards
Texas photographer Dan Richards has been shooting since he was in high school, where he worked at the Yearbook Photographer. It was while working with his daughter's high school classmates, that he again became inspired to work with models, mostly shooting class and band photos. This eventually led to his working with older models shooting portraits and eventually artistic nude and figure work. This artistic genre was new to him and Dan experimented by shooting many different styles and focusing on total creativity - he often shoots with simples props that can range from anything such as paint or honey or whatever. As he says, "Every time I step behind the camera I try to create the perfect image for that situation. I have many crazy ideas that I try to bring to life in my photography. To me the main object of a photograph is to entertain the viewer and to make them want to see more. If I can do that in a shoot then I did my job".
Dan has had his work published in several magazines and he is currently a staff photographer for two such magazines. He works with Sony DLSR equipment and Tamron lenses.
