Photosensualis
PHOTOSENSUALIS is the creative name of the photographic team Williams & Russ. Working together for nine years, they worked collaborated in producing delicate, evocative images celebrating the beauty of woman and nature. Both are full-time photographers and currently work mostly with film. They have a studio and gallery that is open to the public in upstate New York.
Artistically, they consider themselves ‘classicists’ and claim to be influenced by the early pictorialist photographers such as Alfred Stieglitz, Edward Steichen, Anne Brigman, Clarence White and Julia Margaret Cameron. They work with a variety of equipment types: 35mm film (Canon), digital SLR (Canon), 120 film (Contax) and 8x10 view camera (Kodak MasterView). Their work is available both as archival darkroom prints (black & white) and archival K3 pigment prints (color) in a variety of sizes. Prints larger than 11x14 are limited to editions of 40. Smaller prints are open edition.
