Kadir
Aktay
Born in Turkey's capitol city of
Ankara, Kadir Aktay is a graduate the University of Ankara's Journalism
department. He has gone on to achieve international renown as a
professional photographer and exhibitor. He has also won dozens of
photography competitions and awards. Kadir has worked as photographer for
several Turkish newspapers like Hurriyet, Sabah, Newspot, Gunes, Aksam,
Evrensel as well as major magazines like Tempo, Aktuel, Panaroma,
Skylife, Aktuel, Golf, House Beautiful, and Turkuaz. He's worked as a
photographer for UNICEF (right after the 1999 earthquake that so
devastated Turkey) and served as Director of Photography for the Turkish
televison documentary program Old Houses-Old Masters. As on 1992 he
has operated his own studio that he started with some friends and
continues to travel the world as a freelance photographer. His image bank
