Frank
Wallis
Photographer
Frank Wallis loves the nude more than any other art form, and he has
worked with dozens of models over the course of the last twenty years,
beginning in Connecticut and now flourishing in San Francisco. He would
like to share that vital enthusiasm about the nude with more and more
persons, and has already displayed his work in such publications as SECRET:
Fetish Photo Anthology v3 (Brussels), MAX (Paris), PHOTO
(Paris), Journal of Erotica (London), LIBIDO (Chicago), Paramour
(Boston), Bikini (Los Angeles), EIDOS (Boston), Probe,
Black Sheets, Subliminal Tattoos, and The Genuine Article.
In 1994 he published Photography of the Nude: An Annotated Bibliography.
It's currently out of print but is still available for study at fine
research libraries around the world. Wallis believed that in order to make
a contribution to the art of photography he had to know the art. And he
figured the best way was to survey all that had been done before. The
fruit of his research was distilled into this scholarly bibliography.
