S. Troop
Born
in 1967, Michael Troop is the last true Renaissance man, being classically
trained in the arts. He received formal training in Fine Art, Art History,
Commercial Design and Photography while attending the Atlanta College of
Art, Reinhardt College, LaGrange College, and Art Institute of Atlanta.
Michael was introduced to photography at the age of 8 where he learned
to mold artistic visions in with a simple 110 camera. In 1989, he opened

modeling agencies and commercial firms. In 1991, he took his photography
on the road, working freelance throughout the US until 1995 when by a twist
of fate, he joined the US Army to broaden his experiences.
Now, released
from service, Michael operates Troop Photography based out of Miami, Florida
and Frankfurt, Germany. This mobility allows Michael to travel internationally
and capture visions of beauty for a wide range of clients and galleries.
His equipment choices include the Sinar 4x5, Bronica ETRSi and the Nikon
D-100.
His photography has won a number of awards including 1st and 2nd
place, Best in Show and Honorary Mention in a multitude of exhibits in
venues such as the Atlanta Georgia Dogwood Arts Festival, Lamar Dodd Arts
Center, Art Institute of Atlanta, Atlanta College of Art, Coleman Gallery,
and in Washington DC at the Pentagon.
Michael produces commercial, fashion,
fine art and erotic photography for publication and exhibit. His current
endeavors include the continued study of the female form and redefining
