A
photographer since the age of 14, I got my start with an old Konica 35mm
that my Father bought for a family trip to Grand Cayman. Not long
afterwards I was surprised with an Omega b2 enlarger as a birthday present
and haven’t looked back since. I eventually went on to earn my BS in
Illustrative Photography from the SI Newhouse School of Public
Communications at Syracuse University and after graduating in 1984, I
pulled a six year stint in New York as a first assistant, studio manager
and freelance assistant to numerous New York shooters. In 1989 I relocated
to Phoenix where I now enjoy shooting both editorial and commercial
assignments.
As an accomplished professional photographer my current aim is to direct
my skills and knowledge toward a "content-driven" body of work
that will speak more to my identity as an artist. My nude studies allow me
to combine my lifelong love of photography with my passion for the sublime
nature of the female form. With an extensive still life background, my
shooting style is studied and traditional, though I am always seeking new
opportunities and perspectives to compliment my subjects and their unique
exquisite qualities
