Raemond
Born
1968 in Basel, the Swiss photographer Raemond discovered his passion for
photography in 1996 after looking at a friends portfolio of fine art
nudes. He works as a computer professional, so the migration to digital
from traditional darkroom techniques was a natural for him. Fascinated by
the principals of beauty and elegance he concentrates his work on the
exciting forms and shapes of the human body. As he says, "I like to
play with light and shadows to create my sculptural pictures and as I am
always looking for harmony and aesthetical perfection, new forms and
shapes are an important part in the process of pictures-creation. It's
difficult to associate my work to a specific genre. I take my ideas from
different sources: pictures of great photographers, locations, movies …but
mostly the final print is the result of a creative cooperation between the
model and me".
Some of Raemond's latest works are included in two forthcoming photography
books. And many of his pictures can be seen on different galleries
available on the internet.
