Neleman
Dutch
born Hans Neleman started his photography career from his first studio in
New York's meat-packing district by shooting portraiture and advertising
assignments. His personal work, assemblage and still life, was discovered
and recognized at once in the fine art as well as the commercial
arena.
Since 1991 Neleman's work has been exhibited internationally including
shows at the Museum of Visual Arts, Art Projects International, Nuevo Leon
Center of Photography in Mexico, the Holland Festival and the Biennale de
Lyon. Recently his photographs have been acquired by the Musee Art
Contemporain, France and Stiftung Museum Kunst Palast, Germany. Hans
Neleman is represented by Ricco/Maresca Gallery.
Neleman has lectured worldwide and has taught as an adjunct faculty
professor at New York University, the School of Visual Arts and the
International Center of Photography. Among his many accolades: Kodak
Photographer of the Year, World Image Award for Still Life Photographer of
the Year and American Photography Photographer of the Year. Neleman has
received countless awards, titles and honors including: Clio's, Addy's and
multiple medals at TV and Cinema Festivals. Neleman works from his
studio-loft in the historic cast-iron district of Soho, New York City.
