Joseph Di Sipio lives in Santa
Barbara, California and is a dealer ..a poker dealer that is. He ply's his
trade in a casino at a local Indian reservation. When not immersed in the
bright lights and cigarette smoke of his "day job" he is
shooting photos with his medium format and 35mm cameras. Santa Barbara is
renowned for its art galleries and Joseph has participated in several
showings there. He has also exhibited his work in Tokyo.
Stretching across two decades Joseph's body of work is utterly
breathtaking. Whether shooting figure studies or nude portraits he tends
to keep things pretty simple. Consistently relying on natural or classical
themes with extraneous details kept to a minimum, the viewer is drawn
imperceptibly to the powerful lines of his subject. His work truly
glorifies the human form.
