John
Donegan
A
native of the southern USA, John Donegan did not discover the art form of
photography until he was already teaching engineering at a prominent
southern university. But he took to the medium with incredible passion and
quickly developed the skills of a top notch professional.
His first photographs were of women, and this subject continues to play a
major role in his work. But he also commandeered an impressive list of
commercial clients and he worked in in the fashion and music industries.
He's photographed over 100 album covers for major recording artists and
has shot numerous magazine ads. If that weren't enough, John is also an
astute filmmaker and has done several music videos and TV commercials.
Nonetheless, shooting women has always been the source of his strongest
material and he's never strayed from that genre. John feels that he has a
unique ability to see and bring to the surface layers of innate eroticism
that are often buried within his models. His new book is LAYLEY was
published by MixOfPix, a subsidiary of Goliath Books, and was released in September,
2005.
