Mike
Crawley
Mike
Crawley is an amateur photographer living in Hertfordshire, England. He
went to Leeds and Manchester Universities to study chemistry and started
working as a chemist for Kodak, Ltd in 1976. Mike has always been
interested in photography but didn’t take much interest in shooting
people until 1988 when he attended some local photography classes. The
portrait sessions were a revelation to him, and this led to his current
passion for photographing beautiful women.
Fast forward to the new millennium and Mike Crawley is now engaged in
exhibiting his work at galleries throughout the United Kingdom as well as
in Europe. Mike sells prints and has images in several traditional picture
libraries and agencies such as the Akehurst Bureau and the online
library Alamy.com. He's also had
several images and articles published in various magazines including Practical
Photography, Amateur Photographer, Photo Answers and PIC. A
recent publication, The Mammoth Book of Erotic Photography, from
Robinson of London contains a selection of Mike’s images. And presently
he is writing and illustrating a book commissioned by David & Charles
Limited called Photographing the Nude - this will contain around
200 of his photographs and is due to be published later this year.
