Marc-Henri
CYKIERT
A
freelance composer and photographer, I was born in Liège in 1957, and
I've been living in Bruxelles for 15 years. Parallel to my work as a
professional composer, I had been practicing photography on the side
before I decided to show it in public and make it an essential part of my
life as well. I started to work freely on my favorite themes: black &
white nude, artists' portraits, and still-life's of musical instruments.
I've studied with many great photographers including the likes of Lois
Greenfield and Lucien Clergue.
Starting in 2000, I exhibited my work at shows in Brussels, Paris, Arles
and in New York. In 2004 I exhibited at the 4th European Nude Photography
Festival in Arles. And then in December, at both l'Appartement in
Brussels and at the Galeries Artitude in Paris. My book VOILÉ,
DÉVOILÉ (VEILED, UNVEILED) came out in 2003, and was
published by Filipson Editions, Brussels.
