Eric
Clark
Hailing
from Hamilton, Ohio, Eric Clark has always had a leaning towards things
artistic. Drawing was his first passion. He started shooting pictures in
the later 70's with an old (long gone) Kodak 110 Instamatic. A few courses
in high school got him interested enough in the art form to move-up on
to a 35mm camera. His initial subject matter was the disappearing railroad
scene of the area. During this period, Eric continued to alternate between
drawing and photography. He shot railroad scenes with his camera and with
his pencil was almost always churning out drawings of females.
A few years ago, a beautiful model from Ohio caught Eric's eye and he remembers
desperately wanting to work with he,r but
put things off, thinking she might be out of his league. And then he woke-up
one day to find she passed away in a tragic car accident. In talking to
people who knew and worked with her, Eric discovered how down to earth
and easy to work with she was. This only deepened his sense of loss and
an opportunity missed. At that point he decided it was time to stop putting
things off and get involved in capturing scenes the pencil missed. He's
been shooting these type of shots since early 2006. The model Eric is referring
to above is Jasmine Grey.
