Bram
Blondeel
Still
in his twenties, Bram Blondeel runs his own studio in Zottegem, Belgium.
He studied Photography at VISO (Mariakerke - Ghent), and graduated in
1999. He then worked as an assistant photographer for about three years
before venturing off on his own. Initially Bram shot weddings, did
portraits, and the like but later he developed his current interest in fashion,
models and fine art. He works with a Mamiya RZ67, which is a manual roll-film
camera that produceswhat he calls "the sharpest image,s full of detail without
losing emotion". He also uses a Canon EOS 5 reflex camera and a
Fuji S2
PRO digital reflex.
He says his influences have been Gabriele
Rigon, Bruno Bisang, Helmut Newton, Richard Avedon, Peter Lindbergh,
etc. But he also claims to get inspired by the curves of a womans body. "They
make me
want to play with light and shadows."
