Steve
Anchell
Steve
has been working with the nude since 1972 when he literally photographed "the
girl next door" on the stairs in front of her apartment. He worked in
Hollywood, California at his studio from 1977
to 1984 where he photographed for fashion designers, cosmetic companies,
and adult filmmakers.
Steve has
been teaching other photographers his craft since 1982. He operated
the highly successful workshop, The Nude at Big Sur,
from 1983 to 2005. Many of todays' most exciting art photographers, including
several
featured
at Michelle7, have studied shooting the human form under Steve's
tutelage.
Steve
continues to teach the art form of nude photography in
southern Colorado, and his new workshop, Nude Noir, will
debut in May 2006. An amazing glimpse of the magic created at his
Big Sur workshops can be seen in his book, The
Nude at Big Sur,
which was published in 2002.
Portfolios of Steve's work are available
in boxed sets of 12 images for $3,575. More information can be found
at his website.
The most popular method for collecting Steve's fine art nudes is
to join The Collector's Print Club. Twice a year Steve chooses
a negative or digital
image and makes 30 prints. Members each receive a print and the negative
or digital file is then retired (except for exhibition purposes).
The Collector's Print Club has been active since 1993.
