Cameron
Attree
Cameron
Attree graduated from Griffith University (Queensland College of Art) in
1993 after completing an Associate Diploma of Arts in Applied Photography.
Since then he has photographed a variety of subjects commercially. However
it's his personal work which is the main focus of his photography.
Cameron
is based in Brisbane, Australia where he works for a leading photographic
retailer as their professional sales consultant. Having used Nikon film
equipment since he studied photography, he continues to do so today and
is currently shooting with Nikon D3 and D300 bodies. Over the last 15 years
he has also experimented with a number of other film formats and cameras
using brands such as Mamiya, Hasselblad, Polaroid, Shen-Hao and Linhof.
Cameron is a Master of Photography with the Australian Institute of Professional
Photography (AIPP) and is the 2008 QLD AIPP Portrait Photographer of the
Year. He has also been a guest speaker for a number of amateur and professional
organisations.
His fine art practice utilises both traditional and contemporary
photographic process, stemming from his love of 4x5" black and white
photography and his concurrent desire to embrace digital technology. Cameron
progressively deals with both the human form and landscape genres and often
combines the two in both natural and manmade environments.
